El tema de hoy para el desafío "Beauty is where you find it" del blog Luzia Pimpinella es Winter Wonderland. Hasta la semana pasada, desde la ventana de la oficina de casa tenía esta vista. Me encanta ver nevar, especialmente desde un lugar cerrado (y calefaccionado). Estuvo nevando bastante y haciendo mucho frío, pero eso no nos impidió salir a pasear y capturar nuestra "winter wonderland".  Bien emponchados y venciendo la fiaca, salimos a disfrutar del invierno... no hay temperatura bajo cero que lo impida!

Today's challenge for "Beauty is where you find it" is Winter wonderland.
Until last week, this was what I was able to see almost every day if I looked through the window of our home office. I love to watch snow falling down, specially in a warm and closed space ;) It has been really cold during those snowy days but that didn't stop us from going outside and take some photos of our lovely winter wonderland.

Este finde fue movidito, nada de respirar profundamente como me propuse en el post anterior. Pero lo pasamos increíble, especialmente el sábado. Durante la noche y luego de haber cumplido con los eventos sociales, me dediqué a full a la cocina. Hoy les traigo una de las recetas que preparé: unas mini focaccias.

La receta rinde 4 mini focaccias (como las de la foto) o 1 grande. Es fácil y salen muy ricas. Es la primera vez que las preparo y seguramente seguiremos experimentando con el relleno! (alguna sugerencia?)

Today I want to share with you the recipe of the mini focaccias that I prepared last Saturday. The recipe is really easy and the focaccias are delicious! It is the first time I made them and I'm sure I will be experimenting with the filling.

El tema de hoy para el desafío fotográfico "Beauty is where you find it" es pasteles. Aprovechando que tenía que ir al centro (y que en esta época me encanta comprar flores para poner en casa) compré unos tulipanes para las fotos. 

Today's challenge for "Beauty is where you find it" photo project is pastels.  As today I had to go downtown, I bought some tulips for the photos. I love buying flowers for our home during this time of the year.

Mientras hacía las fotos me desconecté de todo y de todos y la verdad que para mí la fotografía es la mejor terapia. Luego, mientras las editaba, recordé estas palabras que una vez leí en Pinterest...

As I was taking the pictures I relaxed so much, forgot about everything... photography is my best therapy ;)

Then when I was editing them, I remembered 2 words I read once in Pinterest...

Cuando éramos chiquitas, mi hermana Inés y yo tomamos un par de clases de cocina con una señora que vivía en la esquina de casa. No recuerdo muy bien cómo fue que terminamos yendo ahí pero lo que sí recuerdo es que lo pasábamos genial hasta que llegaba el momento de anotar en nuestro cuaderno las recetas que habíamos preparado durante esa clase. Me acuerdo que resultaba un embole y nos parecían textos interminables. Todavía tenemos ese cuaderno. En la última visita a Argentina me lo traje y el otro día hojeándolo, dí con esta receta que me pareció ideal para el blog. 

As kids, my sister Inés and I took some cooking lessons with a lady who used to live just around the corner from our home. I don't remember why we ended up taking cooking lessons but I do remember that we used to have lots of fun until we had to write the recipes we cooked during the class to our notebook. I remember we found it really tedious and the texts really long. We still keep this notebook and during my last visit to Argentina, I brought it to Germany with me. Last week, while I was looking at it, I found this recipe which I thought was great for the blog.

Hola!! Se que ya estamos en la segunda semana del año pero no quería dejar de decir que espero que lo hayan arrancado de la mejor forma! Que tal reyes??? Espero que bien!!!

Por acá los días están muy grises y oscuros... un clima horrrrrriiiiiibleeee! Para combatirlo, me puse a editar algunas fotos de nuestras vacaciones de verano (todavía tengo varias para mostrarles, espero que no se aburran) Hoy los invito a recorrer una muy linda ciudad llamada Faro.

Hello everyone! I hope you this new year is treating you as well as you deserve! How was the visit of the Three Wise Men? I hope everything is fine!
Here the weather has been awful: lots of rain and really grey. I decided to forget about it for a second editing some photos of our summer holidays in sunny Portugal. Today I'll show you some pictures of a lovely city called Faro.
